Oh shaker cards, how I love to look at thee, oh how much fun it is to shake thee...I could continue but I wouldn't want to start getting negative.
Yes, I accepted the challenge.
Yes, I made a shaker card.
Yes, let's leave it at that.
I won't get in to how I started gluing it all together without putting the acetate between the layers. Or how the glue started oozing everywhere, no, I won't even go there.
My card features the newly released stamp set Party Animals. I can't get enough of these cuties, they all make me smile. The bear is topping my shaker card accompanied by the cupcake. The sentiments are both from the set as well.

I stared off by cutting out the top 2 stitched squares. I layered the 2 and centered the star and die cut through both layers. It the die does not cut through the second sheet of cardstock it should have at least left an impression to make it easy to run it through the die cutting machine a second time. Next step, search for a good shaker tutorial.
Don't forget to head on over to the YNS blog DT Dare Post for your chance to comment and win and it will be worth the trip to see the shaker creations from my teammates!
Plus, I definitely need to mention that there is a great sale going on in the YNS store through the end of August and a free Birthday set with a $40.00 purchase!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Smiles,
Julie

ReplyDeleteLOL. Julie, your card turned out beautifully despite, dare I say, "it wasn't easy for you???" LOL
ReplyDeleteMy first shaker card was one disaster after another! As a matter of fact, the first few were less than fun! But, as you say, look for a good tutorial...I did! It helps. Thanks for sharing your adorable card.
