YNS and Perfect Paper Crafting Hop!

Hi Everyone!

Today the Your Next Stamp design team is teaming up with Perfect Paper Crafting and hosting a HOP!  This hop will let you see all the cool things that can be done when the Perfect Paper tools are combined with the Your Next Stamp stamps and dies.   You should have arrived at my blog from Patti's.  If you want to start at the beginning of the hop head on over to the Perfect Paper Crafting Blog.

This is a BIG HOP and that means there are BIG prizes!!!  FUN!!!
Perfect Paper Crafting is giving away a $50 gift certificate to their online store, and Your Next Stamp is also giving away a $50 gift certificate to their store to two lucky winners. What do you need to do to have a chance of winning???  It's easy, you just need to leave a comment on every blog in the hop.  The full list is at the bottom of this post in case you get lost ;>)

In addition to the prizes, each store is also offering discounts on all orders.
To receive 5% off at Perfect Paper Crafting store use the code:  YNS5%
To receive 15% off at the Your Next Stamp store use the code:  YNSPLHOP15

Now on to my hop project.  I dressed up a plain kraft bag using the Your Next Stamp Fishtail dies and the Perfect Paper Crafting Perfect Borders Layer Tool #1.

The Fishtail/Banner Die Set comes with a large banner die which I decided to make even larger by using Layer Tool #1.  I simply die cut a template in white paper and then used the tool to cut around the template.

Check out how much bigger the fishtail ends up being.  I was able to make 4 different sized fishtails with 1 ruler!

Once the fishtails were cut out and attached, I added the reindeer and sentiment from the YNS Believe in Magic set.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Now it is time to hop on over to Eva's blog.

Happy Hopping!!!
Smiles,
Julie

Super Saturday Dreaming

Happy Super Saturday!

Today I am sharing a couple cards featuring Little Miss Muffet Stamps for Super Saturday.  Each Saturday,Little Miss Muffet Stamps showcases a stamp and offers it at a reduced price.
Plus, a freebie is offered on the blog too.

My first card features the featured stamp of the day Clover Toadstool Dreams.  It is available at a reduced price - whoo hoo!

I did not intentionally start off making a card with so much WHITE, but this was one of those times when I didn't want the image to compete with anything else.

Next, is a card featuring the freebie, Hanging Bat.  Head over to the blog to get details on picking up the freebie.  I went to my "go to" sketch of late and tweaked it just a bit...I can't help it, I love the look of the mat with a circle cut out.  This time, it is just a bit smaller than usual.

Check out the Little Miss Muffet Stamp blog for more inspiration and to grab the freebie, then get shopping!

Another Monster!

The party continues at Your Next Stamp with the design team sharing more creations featuring stamps and dies from the September release.

Up first, CAS with tons of circles.

I created the background paper using the circles from the Kup Topper Stamp Set.  The sentiments are from the Kup Topper Stamp Set too, plus the little dots are part of the set as well.  I cut out the circles and button using the Kup Topper Die Set.

Next up, a monster!
It's hard to be scary with all that pink!  The monster and sentiments are from Silly Monsters.  I used the circle from the Kup Topper Die Set and a speech bubble die from YNS Talk Bubble Die Set.  Plus a banner die cut layered on top of a fish tail, both from the YNS Fishtail/Banner Die Set.

It is not too late to join in the fun with our September blog hop.  The hop starts at Jen's blog

We would love for you to hop along with us for your chance to win one of these adorable new sets.

Now on to my trio of cards using some of the new goodies!!!  First up, the entire reveal of my sneak peek from yesterday...
Did you guess right?  The bat and sentiment are from the new set Fangtastic Halloween.  The circle behind the bat was cut out using one of the new dies that is part of the Kup Topper Die set - this circle is a great size for my latest favorite lo/mat arrangement with the circle.  Of course there is a banner die on my card - love those!

The vampire and sentiment on card #2 are also part of Fangtastic Halloween - just a wee bit scary and a whole lot of fun!

Finally, I am sharing one of the monsters and sentiments from Silly Monsters.  These guys are great for Halloween and Birthdays!

Pink and Grey

It's time for a new challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps!

This week we are looking for pink and grey creations.  Skin tones, hair colors, and a neutral are allowed, but we really only want to see pink and grey on the rest of the card.  Hmmmm a tough one?  How often have I heard grey is the new black?  Let's see what you can do!

To make sure I did not break the rules, I kept it simple with only one sheet of pink patterned paper and then lots of grey card stock.
Sonny Honeycloud Tomboy is front and center on my card surrounded by all that pink and grey.  The sentiment (notice the pink and grey) can work as a Birthday card or a Congrats card.  I highlighted "YOU" in the sentiment with a copic.

Be sure to check out the LMMS blog for more inspiration and to link up your pink and grey creation.  All the rules are in the sidebar.

Have fun crafting!

Smiles,
Julie

Stamp - Sonny Honeycloud Tomboy, Sentiment - Your Next Stamp Celebration Circles, copics, Basic Grey embossing Folder, BoBunny PP, Ink - SU, and PTI CS.

September LMMS Release Sweetness

It's new release day at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and the Polka Dot Pals line is expanding!  More summery sweetness has arrived.  I am all for keeping summer around a little longer!

My card features Sally.  Watermelon is a summer staple in my house...she would be perfect for a scrapbook layout too.

I stuck to traditional watermelon colors with the patterned paper from Carta Bella.

Be sure to head over to the blog for more inspiration and check out the new stamps in the store!

Silver Christmas

Today's card is for the SCS Dirty Dozen Christmas Challenge for September - Silver Bells.  Create something with silver or bells or both!  Stacy aka Twinshappy asked me to create a sample card for this month's challenge - Thank you Stacy!!!  I am honored to play along this month.

I really wanted to add bells to my creation, but I admit, I could NOT get it look right.  I stuck with the silver and used Silver Stickles to dress up my card.

The snowman is Fhiona's Snowman from Your Next Stamp and it is paired up with stamps from Happy Day Sentiments.  I hand cut the snow bank and layered it off white paper embossed with Basic Grey Snowflake.

Be sure to play along - I would love to see some ideas for using bells!

Smiles,
Julie

Details:  Stamps - Your Next Stamp, Embossing Folder - Basic Grey, Silver Stickles, SU Ink, Copics and PTI CS, plus some Offray Ribbon.
