Hello and welcome to the April Your Next Stamp New Release Blog Hop! The adorable new stamps and dies I mentioned yesterday are available in the YNS store right now. We are hosting a hop to celebrate, so hop, hop, hop along with us and check them out! You have through Tuesday, April 29th to leave comments on all of the DT blogs for your chance to win a $20 YNS Gift Certificate-Woo Hoo!
The first stop on the hop is Maureen's blog and that's where you should have arrived from.
The 2 cards I am sharing today were both inspired by the lavender color palate from last week's SCS CAS challenge.
Up first, some flower power, with a card covered in floral die cuts courtesy of the new Flower Fun Three Die Set.
I used the inlaid technique to create this CAS card. The flower die comes with both an outline die and mat, and I only used the outline die here.
Directions: First I ran a square of aqua CS and square of purple CS thru my Xyron sticker machine. Next, I die cut the aqua and purple with the new Flower die. Then I pulled out the die cuts from the aqua, peeled the paper off the now aqua sticker and placed it on cream CS. The purple sticker die cut flower outlines were then placed on the cream and nestled right up against the aqua. The last step was trimming the layers to the desired size. Using the Xyron made it easy to "stick" the outlines in place and not have to do any gluing, the flower die went thru the single layer of cs and xyron paper easily.
Next up is a cutie from a prior release, the sheep from The Funny Farm Crew, paired up with a sentiment from the new set Whatnot Sentiments Two and the new Stitched Fishtail Tags Two die set.
The confetti under the sentiment is part of the Whatnot Sentiments Two stamp set; I stamped it multiple times to create the row.
