Welcome to a special Your Next Stamp Holiday Hop! We are sharing projects made with YNS Holiday Stamps and Dies to wish our fabulous YNS customers a very happy holiday season! I know you will find tons of inspiration throughout the hop so be sure to start at the very beginning with Laura. If you've been hopping along, then you should have arrived fromWendy's blog.
You have from today until Saturday, December 21st at midnight (EST) to hop with us! If you leave a comment on all of the blogs along the hop, you could win a $25 YNS Gift Certificate!!! Karen will announce the winners on the YNS Blogon Sunday, December 22nd.
My project for today happened by chance. It started out as a craft for the kids and well, of course I couldn't help but join them in the fun!
I bought votive candles for the kids to decorate using the tissue paper technique (here). The kids drew on their tissue paper and I made a couple using the snowflake stamps from Warm Winter Wishes.
Then I realized that 2 votive candles fit in the Kup Holder perfectly!!! Such a great way to package the candles. I decorated the Kup Holder with a matching snowflake cut out with Warm Winter Wishes dies and then layered it on top of the scallop shape from the Pocket Die Set.
Karen is having the biggest Your Next Stamp sale of the year with up to 30% off your order! Rumor has it she is trying to make room for all the new stamps and dies heading our way in 2014!
Make sure you take advantage of these amazing deals! Notice that the sale runs thru the end of the year (what a great way to spend money you receive from Christmas)! Now it's time to hop on over toThanh's blog, but don't forget to leave a comment before you go! As always, happy hopping and shopping, and have a wonderful holiday season!
There are some new cuties to be found at Little Miss Muffet Stamps today! The new release features several Dexter the penguin digis and a trio of new Sugar 'n Spice Dolls - all will make you smile.
The cute digi Dexter Caroling takes center stage on my card...
My card is based on sketch #46 from i {heart} card sketches. As you can see I went off of memory when making my card and skewed the one mat a bit, but the inspiration is there!
Plus, head on over to the blog to check out more inspiration with the new stamps from my team mates!! Remember there is still a challenge going on...You've Been Framed. If you head to Facebook there is a challenge to use the Zen Border to be found there too! Lots to do :>)
There are 2 challenges to choose from, a sketch or an inspiration photo. I went with the inspiration and kept is CAS with purple and stamps from the Holiday Sentiments set.
I stamped "snow" in 3 shades of purple and then stamped "all that glitters is" over it and embossed the black only. I then brushed each of the words "snow" with a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush pen - clear.
Here is the sketch and photo so you can play along. Check out the Your Next Stamp Challenge Blog for all the details - there is a prize involved!

Hello and welcome to the Your Next Stamp November New Release Blog Hop! We have quite the selection this month from new scene stamps, to versatile multi stamp sets and a fun new die set that is perfect for gifties, being released today! You can find them all NOW at theYour Next Stamp Store!
The hop begins right here on my blog! If you leave comments on all of the DT blogs you could win a stamp set of your choice as well as a pack of YNS Gumdrops! Gumdrops are super sweet on cards and I promise won't add any calories!
Today I am sharing cards using 2 of the new scene stamps with you.
My first card features the scene and a sentiment from the new set "The Perfect Blend". The layout is based on November's YNS sketch Challenge (psst, participating on the challenge blog is another way to win a prize!). I stamped the image and then added a bit of paper piecing.
Up next is "Winter Scene". I used the polaroid die to create the frame around the scene. I first die cut it from patterned paper and then from white. I used the white around the die cut to create a second frame and then popped it up with foam dots.
Now it's time to hop on to Peggy's blog, but don't forget to leave a comment before you go! If you get lost any where along the way check out the easy links below. Happy hopping and shopping!
Smiles,
Julie
Remember to leave comments along the way, you have until November 25th at midnight EST to comment for your chance to WIN!
We are looking for white upon white and the only color allowed is on the image or stamp you use. Check out the Little Miss Muffet Blog to join in the fun and see all the white creations from my teammates.
I was recently asked to review a rubber band jewelry how-to book. I jumped at the chance because I have a 9 year old daughter who enjoys making bracelets with the Rainbow Loom.
In the words of the publisher: Totally Awesome Rubber Band Jewelry, offers a complete how-to guide for using the popular new looms. Available just in time for holiday gift giving, it features unique designs and essential instructions for making the trendy accessories.
Click below to check out a few pages from the book.
My daughter and I found the book to be easy to follow with color photos showing step by step how to make each item. There are also great tips throughout the book that my daughter wants to try. Up until now, we have been relying on videos to learn how to make bracelets. The videos are sometimes hard to understand and involve a lot of pausing (on my part). In the end, I usually have to watch the video and then teach my daughter. The steps in the book are clear enough that my daughter can follow them on her own!
Here is a zipper bracelet made following the steps in the book...
Today's post is a little different from paper crafting, but still "crafting" and FUN! I started crafting at an early age and have never stopped!
Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo!!! One lucky participant will win 7 digis of their choice!!
Link up by Thursday, November 21st at midnight EST for your chance to win.
To fit the challenge, I created my own stripes using strips of paper and then layered Little Penguin Winter right on top. Quick and easy with a little jingle!
