Hello again! Are you ready for Day 2 of our April previews from the Little Paper Shop. Today, we are previewing an adorable stamp set called Little Lady Katie. Have you seen the Little Cuties line of stamps from LPS? Well today's set is a new addition to that line and she is definitely a cutie.
Want to win a $10 Gift Certificate to the LPS store? All you have to do is comment on ALL the DT members blogs today for a chance to be entered in the random drawing for the gift certificate. How easy is that? Just for checking out all the gorgeous samples from the Design Team (and leaving a sweet word or two - hehehee) you could win the $10 Gift Certificate! Plus, don't forget about the awesome $35 Gift Certificate that one person can win to the store by participating in our Birthday Celebration challenge on Release Day, Tuesday, April 20th.
You should be arriving here from Tasha Beasley's fabulous blog - Millie's Magical Moments. If not then head over to the Little Paper Shop Blog where the hop begins. Remember, you can always go back to the LPS blog if you get lost along the way.
Today my card is based upon the 4/14 card sketch challenge from SCS, #276 (see, I told you yesterday that I love sketches!). I kept to the sketch and added lots of layers and PP. This "cutie" may be a lady bug, but I decided to go with pink since it is a fave of many of my DD's friends. The polka dot strip is from Background Basics, which we previewed yesterday. The swirled layer is made with a "bee trail" stamp that is included in the Little Lady Katie set - it is a single stamp that I inked up multiple times to create the PP.
After I finished my card I put together a quick (and I do mean super quick) box to hold a gift card and bit of candy. The purse is the "My Little Bag" template from Perfect Presentation, this is my fave of late 'cause it super cute, super easy, and I think a purse is so appropriate for a gift card :>). I printed out the template, cut it out (yes, I am deprived, no electronic cutter in my craft area, although I am really thinking I
Now it is time to hop on and visit the fabulous blog of Silvia Mabie - Mabie Stampin.
Don't forget to stop back tomorrow for Day 3 of the April Previews and there will be another chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to the store. Good Luck!!!
Personal note, today is Walk MS...my entire family will be walking along with our team Cousins for a Cause, here in CT. Walk MS is such a wonderful way to raise funds for research, education and assistance to those with MS. One of my cousins has MS, so this is very close to my heart. Now on to the LOL...last year, my DH could not join us, so I walked with my 3 children. Let me just say that I worked hard to earn every penny that was donated to sponsor us! I walked the entire 5 miles either pushing a double stroller or holding one of my DSs after my DD got tired and needed a ride. Our team got split up, so those that were with me were at the back of the pack. By the time we reached the finish line the volunteers that are normally cheering were already sitting down and eating lunch. I do have to say that one did give out a small cheer as we walked past :>) So here is hoping that we are not the last to cross the finish line this year!
