Flying with The Cat's Pajamas Challenge

This week The Cat's Pajamas design team has a new challenge for you...we are looking for wings on your creation!   Start brainstorming, it is probably easier to find wings in your paper crafting supply than you first think.  Remember, all stamps are welcome although we are always happy to see your TCP supplies in action!

Check out The Cat's Pajamas blog for all the details and to play along.

I went with a plane on my card and one with a cat in the pilot's seat no less!
TCP Ingredients:  Flying By stamp set and
He Said, She Said cut up

The He Said, She Said cut up was die cut out from white to create a large cloud after snipping off the extra speech bubble.   That was adhered to the card base after adding a strip of blue patterned paper sky to the top.

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to join in the challenge, not only do we love seeing what you create, you may just win a gift certificate to the TCP store!

Julie

CAS Chipboard

This week's CAS challenge on SCS is to include chipboard on your creation.

If you are like me and don't have a huge collection of chipboard, then make your own!  That means no excuses for not playing along this week.

Ingredients - Your Next Stamp Gardening Phoebe stamp set, Trio of Tags die set and Stitched Rectangle Die Set
The flower pots were stamped on the layer using a MISTI - it really makes lining up images so easy.   The chipboard tag was made by die cutting the tag out a cereal box 3 time and gluing all 3 together.   Everything was colored up with Zig Watercolor markers.

So what type of chipboard will you be including?

Smile, It's a Dare

This month's Your Next Stamp design team dare is to create something around the theme "sending smiles"!   That is super easy to do with most of the YNS stamps, because critters and cuties are smile inducing!

The best thing about the dare is that one lucky commenter on the Your Next Stamp DT Dare blog post will win a stamp set of their choice!   Head on over HERE to leave your comment.

So which set would you choose?   I have 2 faves from the April YNS release, Waddles to the Rescue and Gardening Phoebe.   I went with Phoebe for today's card because the sentiment "sending you sunshine and smiles" seems meant for the challenge theme.

I decided to make a shaker card filled with beads and sequins, plus flowers, a bee and a lady bug.  All the cuties from the Gardening Phoebe stamp set.

April's release has something for everyone, from school related to cute critters. There are also several new dies sets, including a circle set with a mix of stitching and piercing.

I am sharing cards featuring a new Waddles set and a set perfect for CAS cards.

Up first, Waddles to the Rescue!
YNS Ingredients:   Waddles to the Rescue stamp set and die set, Stitched square die set

The firetruck and dog were stamped directly on the card base.  The Stitched Square die set was used to create a frame, then the penguins were layered over it.

Up next is a quick and easy card using the new Scribble Fun One stamp set.
YNS Ingredients:  Scribble Fun One stamp setStitched square die set

The scribble stamp set was stamped once on the top layer then I rotated it once and stamped again to create plaid.

There are so many fun sets in this release. Be sure to hop on over to see what my teammates and YNS guests have created.

Karen is offering a great discount in the YNS store!  Now is the time to stock up on everything from your wish list.

Your Next Stamp April Preview - Phoebe and Flowers

The Your Next Stamp April release happens tomorrow.   There will be a blog hop with a prize and all the new goodies will be available in the store.

Today we get to share a preview - fun stuff!

Among the new stamps and dies is a Phoebe stamp set.   This set is CUTE!   Yes, all capital letters because Phoebe is gardening and she is surrounded by flowers and cute little insects with this set.   Yes, even insects can be cute!

My card may not have any insects, but it does have Phoebe and one of the flowers from the set, plus a wooden wheel barrow.

YNS Ingredients:   Gardening Phoebe stamp set, Gardening Phoebe die set, Stitched Square dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Double Stitched Hills die set
This card has a mix, with a bit of paper piecing for Phoebe's shirt, water coloring for the sky behind the flowers, and lots of copic coloring.   The coordinating dies came in handy and saved me from fussy cutting.

Remember, Gardening Phoebe will be available in the store tomorrow.   Today, you can head on over to the YNS blog and see the full list of blogs with previews.   Then tomorrow, join us for a blog hop and check out even more inspiration featuring the new stamps and dies.

Thanks for stopping by!

YNS For the Boys

We have a new challenge for you over on the Your Next Stamp Blog!

I drew inspiration from the colors in Challenge #36 because all lend themselves to masculine cards.    Pulling in the yellow, black and grey I grabbed one of the most masculine YNS sets, For the Boys.

YNS Ingredients:   For the Boys
This card let's the paper and the beer do the talking!

If a masculine color palette is intimidating there is also a sketch to choose from.   Play along with either and be in the running for a YNS Store gift certificate.

Julie

TCP Die Challenge

Are you "dieing" to try a new challenge?   This week The Cat's Pajamas design team wants you to put your dies to work and feature them on your creations!

Check out The Cat's Pajamas blog for all the details and to play along.

The Stitched Fly cutup is taking center stage on my card and I could not resist adding in a bunny!

TCP ingredients:  Stitched Fly and Away We Go
The frame and word fly, along with the clouds are all from the Stitched Fly set.  What a great die set to create a scene because you get everything at once.

Thanks for stopping by.  Join in the challenge, not only do we love seeing what you create, you may just win a gift certificate to the TCP store!

Chick Picks

Want a chance to win a stamp set from Your Next Stamp?   Head on over to the YNS blog right now and leave a comment on the March Feature Day post.   We are sharing Spring creations and there are lots of chicks to be found.

In fact my creations feature quite a few chicks!
YNS Ingredients:  Hey Chickie! stamp set  | Sprinkes - Eggstra-Awesome stamp set (sentiment) | Hey Chickie die set Cool Tag One Die Set | Circles Die Set
The Cool Tag One set is the perfect size to make picks to decorate Easter flowers.   The plants I picked up did not have many open blooms yet, so the chicks from Hey Chickie added a pop of color.

I die cut 3 tags, cut a circle from the first, and layered it over a white tag.   Then I added sticky tape to the back, placed a skewer over the tape and then added the 3rd tag to hide the top of the skewer.

Now head on over to the YNS blog and comment!   There are so many fun YNS sets to choose from.
