Flashback Friday

The challenge for Flashback Friday 19.0 is to repost your first clean and simple card.  Sometimes when I read the challenge I immediately remember my "first".  This was not one of those times.  I am a huge fan of CAS and frequently turn to it, but I have not always been that way.
Check out the original post here.
Be sure to play along.  It is soooo easy and I promise you, even fun (most of the time!) to look back on your first posts!
Smiles,
Julie

Floral Color Challenge Combo

Today I took the latest Raspberry Suite color challenge and combined it with the Just Us Girls challenge to make a 3-dimensional flower.Just Us Girls has a tutorial to make a beautiful flower out of tissue paper, but since I do not own any nesties (I know, shocking), I decided to go with a layered circle flower.
Here are the Raspberry Suite colors, love 'em!Smiles,
Julie
Details: CS - SU Vanilla and Kraft, PTI - Raspberry Fizz, Stamps - PTI Holiday Tree (I used the small snow flake to make the polka dots on the kraft) and GKD Ribbon Stripes, button PTI.

My First Raspberry Suite Challenge Card

I have noticed quite a few people taking part in the Raspberry Suite Challenges by Dawn, so I decided to give it a try. I am always looking for inspiration :>) This week is a color challenge:Since Papertrey Ink's Everyday Button Bits was still sitting on my desk I stamped up the bicycle and pulled in the colors.
This card completely fulfills my button addiction! Here is a closeup...The buttons are sewn right on to the paper, I do not like naked buttons :>) For the buttons with 4 holes, the attachment is in the shape of a square (but use your imagination and think center of a bike wheel). Details: Image Stamp Set - PTI Everyday Button Bits, Sentiment Stamp Set - PTI Handwritten Notes, Paper - PTI Dark Chocolate & Summer Sunrise and Su Very Vanilla & Kraft, Ink: SU Chocolate Chip, and PTI buttons.
Smiles,
Julie
