The Cat's Pajamas Thank You Challenge

Have you played along with challenge #329 on The Cat's Pajamas Blog yet?  This time around we are looking for Thank You cards. All stamps are welcome to join in the fun and you may just win a gift certificate to the TCP store!

Here is my card which is covered in "thanks"!
TCP Supplies:  This Could be Vodka stamp set, Wreath Building Kit (Thanks sentiment)
This card started off with simply the green panel on the card base and it looked like it needed something.   A quick text to my sister and she suggested turning the panel into a pocket for a tea bag.  Great idea!

This card is also for the SCS CAS

Here are the challenge details:
  1. Every other Tuesday a new challenge will be posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and our Facebook page.
  2. If you want to play along you just upload your design to The Cat’s Pajamas blog page using the InLinkz button by the Monday, 11:55 EDT before the next challenge.

Christmas Greeting Tag

Today is CAS Monday...errr, Tuesday.   This week I combined Monday's SCS CAS Christmas in July challenge with the latest TCP Tuesday Challenge Tags!

TCP is looking for tags.   It could be gift tags, or tags on a card.   Show us your tag creations and you are in the running for a  gift certificate to the TCP store.   Head on over to the TCP blog to link up your creations and to check out all the rules.  You are welcome to keep it CAS too, and also join in at SCS.

For this week, I went with a tag on a card...

TCP Ingredients:  Wreath Building Kit and Toppers CutUps

The tag was created using the Toppers Cutups die and then the wreath was stamped off to the side - layering the stamps to create the wreath. Added a bit of seam binding to the top of the tag and then popped it up on the card base with foam dots.   Easy Peasy, CAS(y)!

So what do you feel like creating this week?  Why don't you take on a challenge?!

Cool, Clean and Simple

This week the C for the CAS challenge on SCS is doing double duty as we are looking for Cool Treats on your creation.  I am the hostess and would love to see your take on the challenge.  Be sure to join in with your own creation featuring a cool treat and tag it with CAS384.

One of my favorite things about summer is the warmth makes cool treats a must have.   Ice cream cones are a go to.   We spent the weekend at my in laws house and they call the ice cream truck when they want a cool treat!

Your Next Stamp Waddles Happy Brrr-thday stamp and die set

For this card, I masked off the square using painter's tape, then sponged on some orange ink.   The penguin was stamped, colored up and then die cut out.

Join in the fun over on SCS.   We have a new challenge every week!

Happy Summer Day

Hi Everyone!
The TCP Tuesday challenge from The Cat's Pajamas continues this week and we are still on the lookout for summer creations.

Perhaps you or your loved ones do a little fishing over the summer?   If so, then this is the stamp set for you!   A bit of water coloring on each, but overall clean and simple.   Each of my cards just happens to be perfect for the SCS CAS challenge this week which is to create a masculine card.

TCP Ingredients:   Friendship stamp set

Join in the fun by linking up your summer filled creation on the TCP blog.   All stamps are welcome, but of course we always love seeing what you create with TCP.   One random participant will win a gift certificate to the TCP Store.

CAS Background Talk

This week's CAS challenge on Splitcoast Stampers is to let the background talk.  CAS374

Background talk?   Hmmmm...Kia is looking for a colorful background.

I decided to interpret it as the background is full of words although I suppose it could just be the background taking center stage!

 Circles Die Set

CAS Chipboard

This week's CAS challenge on SCS is to include chipboard on your creation.

If you are like me and don't have a huge collection of chipboard, then make your own!  That means no excuses for not playing along this week.

Ingredients - Your Next Stamp Gardening Phoebe stamp set, Trio of Tags die set and Stitched Rectangle Die Set
The flower pots were stamped on the layer using a MISTI - it really makes lining up images so easy.   The chipboard tag was made by die cutting the tag out a cereal box 3 time and gluing all 3 together.   Everything was colored up with Zig Watercolor markers.

So what type of chipboard will you be including?

Join in the fun on SplitcoastStampers.

Smiles,
Julie

Your Next Stamp Sneak Peek...it's a Bunny!

The Your Next Stamp February Release and blog hop happens tomorrow and oh my are you in store for some SWEET stamps and dies!   Today the team and guest are sharing some sneak peeks at everything that will be available in the store tomorrow.

If you read the title of this post then you know that I am sharing a bunny with you today!   This cutie is from the stamp set Heart Happy.   Previously available as a digital stamp, he is now a clear stamp set with 3 sentiments.

YNS Ingredients:   Heart Happy Stamp set, Stitched Rectangle Dies and gumdrops

The bunny is stamped directly on the card base, with the heart paper pieced over it and the paws were fussy cut out and layered over the heart.   So what do you think of the paper ruffle?   I tried out a new to me technique called pleated skirt.   What a great way to show off double sided paper.   It was really easy to make following THIS tutorial on SplitcoastStampers.   I switched up the # of pleats and also shortened the length a bit.

Head on over to the Your Next Stamp blog to see the full list of sneak peeks!  Then be sure to stop back tomorrow for a blog hop...one lucky comment on the hop will win a YNS store gift certificate!

Smiles,
Julie

Chocolate covered strawberries - YUM!!!

YNS Ingredients:   I Love Chocolate Stamp set & die set and Stitched Rectangle Die Set

Hope your week is off to a sweet start!

Monday CAS Fun - Skating on Ice

This week's Splitcoast Stamper CAS challenge is Snow and Ice!   Where I live we don't have either yet this year, but fortunately a girl can play on paper ice.

Actually, today it is a penguin playing on ice.

Ingredients:   The Cat's Pajamas Pray for Snow stamp set, Your Next Stamp Forest Friends Scene Die Set (Hill), PTI Paper

The penguin is skating on ice surrounded by all the white snow! The plaid was glued directly to the base and then the white panel was die cut and popped up with foam dots over the plaid.

Happy Monday!
Smiles,
Julie

Happy Monday!   Happy CAS!
Ingredients:   Your Next Stamp Warm Winter Wishes stamp set

TCP November Sneak Peek Day 7...CAS Monday

The Cat's Pajamas November new release sneaky peeks continue!
Leave a comment on each of the sneak peek posts by the design team for your chance to win a TCP gift certificate.   The more peeks you comment on, the greater your odds of winning.  The peeks started Tuesday so be sure to check it out.

Tonight, November 16th, there will be a Pajamas Party on Facebook with games, prizes, more sneak peeks and chatter.  It is going to be LOTS of FUN!!!

Tomorrow, November 17th, there is a blog hop and all the new products will be available in the TCP store!

Today is day 7 and the team is sharing creations featuring all the new cutups!   The new Leaves Cut Ups take center stage on my card, or I should write the leaves fall down on my card.

Start off by sponging various colors on card stock and then spray with water.   Once dry, die cut your shapes and adhere to card.   I added a few glossy accents to mimic rain.

My card is also for this week's Splitcoast Stampers CAS challenge #351, leaves.

The full list of sneaks for all the Cut UPs are on the TCP blog so head on over there, but don't forget to leave a comment here.  Thanks for stopping by!

Julie

CAS Grandma's Flower

This week's Splitcoast Stampers' CAS challenge is to feature something that reminds you of your grandmother's house on your card.   My grandmother is known for her green thumb so I went with a flower in her favorite color.   (challenge # CAS350)

Be sure to check out the challenge and play along!
