YNS Fun Friday

It's Your Next Stamp Fun Friday!  This is my first time joining in the fun.  Fun Friday is a way for us to showcase the YNS cuteness and share ideas for using the stamps. Each month there is a different theme and this month's is Anything Goes - Karen is taking it easy on us!

With Christmas quickly approaching I am in holiday mode so I couldn't resist making a Christmas Card using Fhiona's Snowman. 

My card is based on December's SFYTT and full of Simple Stories paper.

Purrrfect

I am squeaking in my take on the November SFYTT (and thinking of Alyssa S. as I do so!)!

This one combines a Pollycraft image with some of the Cosmo Cricket paper that you will be seeing lots of over the next month!

All Sewn Up with CSAYL

It's that time of the week when I think about Christmas. It is time for a Christmas Stampin' All Year Long challenge. The challenge this week is to use stitching, either real or faux on your project.

Now it is time for a secret...I cheated on this card and went with a precolored digi! I tweaked the colors just a bit, but what a time saver!

As is the norm the past couple months, I am getting my SFYTT entry in at the last minute.  I made my card for August several days ago, but kept forgetting to take a photo in daylight!  I have been busy with back to school...all three kiddos are now in school - so exciting!

Sweet Summer Thanks

A couple weeks ago I received an unexpected e-mail, the type that made me stop and ask myself if I really was reading the e-mail correctly.  Today is the first Saturday of the month...many of you may realize that is when Jen Del Muro's monthly Sketch For You To Try is revealed.  I am so very excited and honored to be June's guest designer.  

I have been a fan of SFYTT for a looong time. Jen Del Muro's blog was one of the first blogs that I found when I ventured out onto the web to look for ideas.  This card is dedicated to Jen, Susan Liles, and everyone on the SFYTT team.  Thank you for having me as a guest this month, you really did make me smile!

A Dad's Life

Spring Gift Set

Happy Spring! 

 Today I am sharing a spring inspired gift set featuring October Afternoon paper and lots of Whimsie Doodles cuteness.

The card features "Snail Garden" and uses April's SFYTT - another great sketch!

This one is also for the Pink Elephant's latest challenge - YELLOW.

Plus, the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is Loads of Layers - got 'em!

A gift filled paper purse.  It is made using one of my favorite templates from Perfect Presentation - My Little Bag.  No stamping on this one, just alot of stitching!

A "sweet" tag with a turtle from "Single Turtles" attached to some sweets from my favorite local candy maker - Munson's Chocolates (yum!).

Another turtle from "Single Turtles" on an envelope wrap (which would work wrapped around a present too).

This one is for the Whimsy Stamps Punches or Die Cut challenge (corner rounder and PTI Die - I cut out the die twice, once in red and again in the cream - I then cut the sides off the cream with scissors to let the red show).
Plus, challenge #29 from Desert Island Crafts ( I used kraft, rounded corners and embossing on the red die cut).

Social Teen You Tube

I made a Shutterfly book of our trip to Disney recently (gasp, I know, I should have scrapbooked it!).  My husband showed the kiddos You Tube videos of some of the rides prior to our leaving.  When I wrote about that in the book though, I put "U" tube!  I really don't watch too many You Tube videos and obviously did not really think too much about it until my 8 year old pointed out my mistake!

My card is based on March's SFYTT.

January 2012 SFYTT

Eeekkks....I am squeaking this one in.  I realized when I woke up today, the last day of the month, that I did not make a card for the January Sketch For You to Try.  I played along all of last year so I was determined not to let my streak end!  I stamped out a few images to fussy cut out on the way to work - it was not my turn to drive ;>)  And tada, I made it!!!

It is beginning to look alot like Christmas.  There is no snow on the ground, but still lots of Christmas to be found!  I am slowly getting thru my Christmas card list and hope to get the majority in the mail today.  Yikes, I think this may just be the latest I have ever sent out cards!  Here is one more Christmas card using the December SFYTT.

Whimsie Doodles October Release

Halloween has never been cuter!  Whimsie Doodles new release is full of adorable Halloween and Christmas images.  I am sharing Halloween today, but those Christmas images are calling my name, so you know I will be coloring some up very soon!

My first card uses "Skinny Witch Flying" and I kept it on the CAS side with a full moon in the background and strips of patterned paper.  The "10/31 Boo!" is an SRM sticker - so easy to use!  This card is for the Raise the Bar Hat's Off challenge and The Pink Elephant Trick or Treat Challenge.

Next up is a card using "Skinny Witch" and this time I pulled in tons of patterned paper for the October SFYTT.  After waiting until the last minute to finish the September sketch I learned my lesson, it is sooo much better to cross it off my challenge wish list earlier in the month.  This card is also for the Paper Sundaes Lots of Layers challenge, there are 6 with all the mats.   Plus, the ABC DT Challenge - Pumpkins, yep, I have one :>)

September SFYTT

One of my sons is in need of a Birthday card for another party this coming weekend.  We are on a party streak, with 2 more B-days this weekend.  Plus, I know there is another on the way the following weekend.  Then we celebrate a big 0ne for my husband in October too!  B-days are just one more excuse to craft - as if I actually need an excuse :>)

Ooooo, I am super last minute with this card!  I have been playing along with SFYTT all year, so I do not want to miss a month now :>)

Well we have a fun little puzzle for you to solve along the hop and when you do you will be entered into the draw for one of TWO amazing YNS prizes!  Not everyone has a puzzle piece so you need to pay attention, and click on the puzzle pieces, following the directions as you find them along the way. Now on to the new stamps...oooo, new stamps, don't you just love new stamps??? I am so lucky to be one of the guest designers this month.  My first 2 cards are made with the new goodies that I got to play with, "Seasonal Icons Set Two", which is a set of 4 summer images and sentiments.  This set is among the new stamps being released today.
I kept it CAS, but colorful, with some fussy cutting and dimensionals.

My Second Card was inspired by this one by Emily Leiphart.  Emily lined up a bunch of shoes in a row and I loved the look so I decided to line up the flip flops with some overlapping and color away the flowers.

Finally, what is a Birthday party without a Birthday card?  Here is one of my favorite YNS images, Snorkel Fun Penguin holding up a B-day flag - I was thinking that he looks a little scared about snorkeling and the flag reminds me of an SOS of sorts!
