I had fun playing with Oxide Ink on the background for this one.

TCP July Blog Hop and TCP Tuesday Challenge

Welcome to The Cat's Pajamas July new release blog hop!  The new stamp sets and cutups are available in the TCP store  right now.  You should have arrived here from Christine's blog, the first stop of the hop.

In addition to the new release, we are also kicking off a new challenge...How does your garden grow?

My garden grows with lots of flowers from the new Big Blooms stamp set.   The set is doing double duty, creating a background and floral stems.

The dark blue flowers were stamped first along with the sentiment and then the background was stamped.  The hydrangea stamps are large enough to create a subtle background.  

So how does your garden grow?  What will you stamp?

Here are the challenge details:

1. Every Release Tuesday a new challenge will be posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and our Facebook page.
2. If you want to play along you just upload your design to The Cat’s Pajamas blog page using the InLinkz button by, 11:55 EDT the day before the next challenge.
3. You are not required to use a Cat’s Pajamas stamp or die but if you have them we would love to see them.
4. On the day after the challenge ends, the winner will be chosen from the previous challenge and will receive a Cat Cash Voucher for $50

Sneaking a Peek at the TCP July Release

We are in the midst of sneaky peek week at The Cat's Pajamas!   The July release will be in the TCP store on Tuesday and the team has been sharing peeks.   Each day a different design team member is in the spotlight and today, Day #6 is my day!

Up first is the new set What's Up Gnomie? and it is a CUTIE!

Next is a new floral set, Big Blooms and it contains one of my favorite flowers, hydrangeas.

 For this one, the flowers were stamped in white, dark purple and then light purple.   

The Big Blooms floral set can even be used to create a background that doesn't look like flowers.  Pair it up with the new Ribbon Banners dies set and Banner Day sentiment stamp set for a CAS colorful card.

It's A Boy Thing

Dante is reclining against a background of plaid from the Summer Plaid paper pack.  Dante was die cut out and layered over a solid die cut to double up and reinforce the shape since part is hanging over the edge of the tag.
