Flipping for Embossing with TCP

There is a new TCP Tuesday Challenge up on The Cat's Pajamas Blog today.  Join in the fun and you will be in the running for a  gift certificate to the TCP store.

All you need to do is include embossing on your creation.   All stamps are welcome but of course we love to see TCP in action.

My card features a bit of dry embossing and the eggs from Kitschy Kitchen.

My card is based on Sketch Saturday #427.   The trio of windows in the sketch seemed like it was made for a stamp featuring action.  In this case, those eggs are flipping!

Head on over to the TCP blog to link up your creations and to check out all the rules.

Julie

The Crew and Cake

Have you been following the Your Next Stamp blog this week?  The YNS 7th Birthday Celebration has been continuing with a design team series sharing birthday creations.   Be sure to check it out and comment on the posts because one lucky commenter will win a stamp set of their choice.

My celebration creation combines birthday cake and the farm animals from the Funny Farm Crew stamp set.

My sister asked me to make a cake for her boss who was turning 50.   She requested a pretty cake with a touch of fun.   The Funny Farm Crew and Funny Farm sentiments to the rescue.

YNS Ingredients:  Funny Farm Crew stamp set | Funny Farm sentiments stamp set
The farm animals were stamped, colored and fussy cut out, then a toothpick was added to each.   The signs were created by stamping directly on the wood grain paper and then adding each to a Popsicle stick.

There is a story behind the cake too.  I made this cake on a day that was humid.   By the time my sister got the cake back to her house, the rosettes were sliding off the sides.   I told her to take a knife and smooth out the sides. It is much easier to transport cards!

Julie

Here is my card based on Sketch Saturday #425.

YNS Monster Celebration

The Your Next Stamp Birthday Celebration continues today with the Design Team Dare.   The team and guests were dared to create something around the theme celebration.

Head on over to the Your Next Stamp blog and leave a comment for your chance to win a stamp set of your choice!

The monsters are celebrating on my card.  The Half Circle flip die was used to create the circle background.   Using it this way adds dimension to the card.  The monsters with their heads in the open circle were doubled up with a layer of white to make them sturdy, plus it hides any spots where the Copics bled through.  Gotta love the coordinating dies to make it easier to layer.

Water Fun with TCP Tuesday

Have you played along with the latest TCPTuesday challenge yet?   We are looking for creations around the theme Water.   Any stamps are welcome and you may just win a gift certificate to the TCP store.  All the details can be found on the TCP blog.

My creation features that cute little bunny as a captain...
TCP Supplies:  Aye, Aye Captain stamp set and Square Stamp Cutups die set
I couldn't help but pull out some nautical papers to go with this set! To get the bunny ears out side the postage stamp die, I stamped the bunny and boat, colored it up and then roughly cut it out.  Fussy cut around the ears and cut a little extra to slide it on to the postage die cut and hide the rough cut square.

So how with you be inspired by the word "water"?   We would love to have you play along.

Thanks for stopping by!

Julie
