Christmas Greeting Tag

Today is CAS Monday...errr, Tuesday.   This week I combined Monday's SCS CAS Christmas in July challenge with the latest TCP Tuesday Challenge Tags!

TCP is looking for tags.   It could be gift tags, or tags on a card.   Show us your tag creations and you are in the running for a  gift certificate to the TCP store.   Head on over to the TCP blog to link up your creations and to check out all the rules.  You are welcome to keep it CAS too, and also join in at SCS.

For this week, I went with a tag on a card...

TCP Ingredients:  Wreath Building Kit and Toppers CutUps

The tag was created using the Toppers Cutups die and then the wreath was stamped off to the side - layering the stamps to create the wreath. Added a bit of seam binding to the top of the tag and then popped it up on the card base with foam dots.   Easy Peasy, CAS(y)!

So what do you feel like creating this week?  Why don't you take on a challenge?!

Julie

Relax, It's YNS Feature Day

Head on over to the YNS blog for a chance to win a stamp set of your choice!   Plus, if you need to cool down it is the place to be.

It is Feature Day and the creations are all based on the theme water.
I went with a water colored background and stamped directly over it with the stamp set Me Time. Then framed it by creating a frame with the stitched rectangle die set.

Relax and enjoy your day (after you leave a comment on the YNS Feature Day post!)

Tag, You're It!

Today is the start of a new TCP Tuesday Challenge.  We are looking for TAGS!

It could be gift tags, or tags on a card.   Show us your tag creations and you are in the running for a  gift certificate to the TCP store.   Head on over to the TCP blog to link up your creations and to check out all the rules.

I was in need of a couple tags to dress up gift bags and it was the stamp set Friendship to the rescue with those adorable penguins.

The top of each tag was created with the TCP Toppers CutUps die.  I cut out one layer with water color paper and then a second out of patterned paper that was a little longer.   The 2 layers are held together at the top with ribbon.   This layering creates a small card of sorts, with the "to" and "from" plus a note, hidden away between the 2 layers.

Now the question is...what will you create???

Julie

TCP Christmas in July

Have you started making Christmas cards yet?   Today I am sharing my first of 2016.  This one was made for the new TCP Tuesday challenge #318 going on right now, Christmas in July!

I could not pull out the traditional red and green papers yet, so this card is made in cool teals.

TCP Ingredients:  First Christmas Stamp Set and Toppers Cutups

Join in the fun by linking up your Christmas card on the TCP blog.   All stamps are welcome, but of course we always love seeing what you create with TCP.   One random participant will win a gift certificate to the TCP Store.

Cool, Clean and Simple

This week the C for the CAS challenge on SCS is doing double duty as we are looking for Cool Treats on your creation.  I am the hostess and would love to see your take on the challenge.  Be sure to join in with your own creation featuring a cool treat and tag it with CAS384.

One of my favorite things about summer is the warmth makes cool treats a must have.   Ice cream cones are a go to.   We spent the weekend at my in laws house and they call the ice cream truck when they want a cool treat!

Your Next Stamp Waddles Happy Brrr-thday stamp and die set

For this card, I masked off the square using painter's tape, then sponged on some orange ink.   The penguin was stamped, colored up and then die cut out.

Join in the fun over on SCS.   We have a new challenge every week!

Smiles,

Julie

YNS July New Release Blog Hop - Apples and More!

The Your Next Stamp July New Release Blog Hop is going on right now!  Hop, hop, hop and leave a comment on each blog as you go.   One random commenter will win a $25.00 YNS Store gift certificate.   The more blogs you visit, the greater your chances of winning!

The July release is great one!   It is full of variety and of course, tons of CUTENESS.

I went with a theme for today's post and it is back to school.   Ha, ha, I know there are many students who got out of school last week.  I am planning ahead to September.   Wouldn't it be great to start preparing now and have some fun note cards on hand for the kiddos when they are back in school?!

This trio was made using the new stamp sets School Notes and Scribble Fun Two.

The scribble circle was stamped on the base of each 3x3 card.   Then the school themed stamps were stamped, colored up and die cut out, to layer over each scribble.   Using the matching dies makes it so easy to layer the stamped images.

Up next is a card full of apples.   The stamps are from the new set Picnic Phoebe, but I decided to only use the apples and turn this into something that could be used for a teacher.
Phoebe is layered over the new Heart Fence die.  The heart cut outs are optional, but definitely a sweet element to use.

Now is the time to shop and grab all your favorite YNS products in the YNS Store.   There is a sale going on right now and everything is on sale!

Here are all the new products used on the cards above:

Have fun hopping and checking out all the inspiration from the YNS team and guests!

Smiles,
Julie
